Origin Story:

Established in 2026.
But the idea, vibe, and brand purpose started more than a decade earlier.

A freshman at Western Michigan University, entered my school’s very first business pitch competition after being encouraged by my academic advisor who recognized my passion for entrepreneurship.

That freshman pitched a t-shirt company called SILC - an acronym for Smile, Interact, Laugh, and Connect.

The idea was simple: create clothing that sparked positivity & interaction. Something that could make the wearer smile, encourage connection, create laughter, or brighten someone else’s day just by seeing it. Silkyy’s vibe & purpose were born on that college campus in Haworth College of Business.

Note: I did make the finals but I didn't win. As the only freshman finalist competing against upperclassmen and graduate students, something much bigger came from the experience: the realization that a lot of people are craving the same thing… simple reminders to slow down, have fun, and enjoy life a little more.

That realization is still the driving force that brought silkyy to life.

Our slogan, “Stand Out. Choose Joy.” is the evolution of that purpose.

To bring garments to the world that stand out. 
Yes - it’s silk athleisure.

It’s comfortable, cool as hell, and looks even best worn with confidence.

silkyy garments are designed this way to serve as subtle reminders to not take life too seriously. Slow down. Make memories. Prioritize the people, experiences, and moments that make you feel alive. Choose joy whenever you can.

Simply, life is better when you spend less time stressing and more time doing things you genuinely enjoy.

At silkyy, we take our products seriously! Quality, comfort, fit, and design all matter deeply to us. But the brand itself is rooted in something much simpler: bring a little more fun, connection, and happiness into everyday life one garment at a time. 

We only get one shot at this crazy thing called life. silkyy’s purpose is to remind us all to enjoy it.
